The removal of a building or part of it is the performance of demolition works of the building or part of it from the place where it is located, including the management of waste found in the building and on the building site, as well as construction material and construction waste resulting from the demolition of the building in accordance with the regulations governing waste management, and bringing construction plot, i.e. the land on which the building was located, in orderly condition.
Construction removal project is a project that technically elaborates solutions, i.e. the procedure and method of removing a building and the items located in the building, prior resolution of the issue of disconnecting the building's connections to energy and/or other infrastructure, safety measures, waste management measures, recovery and/or disposal of waste from the building and waste generated by the removal of the building in accordance with the regulations governing waste management and the removal and disposal of construction materials generated by the removal of the building. Construction removal project of a building or part of it includes the following:
- drawings, calculations and/or other engineering evidence that during removal there will be no loss of structural stability that would endanger the life and health of people or the environment,
- technical description of the removal of the building or its part and the method of management of building material and waste resulting from the removal of the building and the arrangement of the building lot, i.e. it includes interventions in the space after the removal of the building or its part,
- calculation of the stability of the surrounding and other land and/or surrounding and other buildings if the removal of the building or the method of its removal affects the stability of that land and/or the fulfillment of the basic requirements of those buildings.
The building removal project is subject to project control in relation to mechanical resistance and stability if the method of removal and/or the removal of the building affects the stability of the surrounding and other land and/or the fulfillment of the basic requirements of other buildings.
During the removal of buildings, the stability of the surrounding and other land and/or the fulfillment of the basic requirements of other buildings must not be affected or endanger the life and health of people or other public interest, and the construction waste generated by the removal of the building must be handled in accordance with the provisions of Construction Act and the special law where waste management is regulated.
