The water supply and sewerage design defines the technical solution for the building water supply, wastewater drainage and stormwater drainage. The installations are designed according to the building purpose, number of users, layout of sanitary spaces, connection conditions, available public infrastructure and applicable technical regulations.
During the design process, installation routes, required pipe diameters and pipe types are determined, together with insulation where required, positions of sanitary fixtures, water meters, inspection chambers, vertical risers, connections and other system elements. Particular attention is given to system functionality, maintenance accessibility, coordination with architectural and structural designs, and proper connection of the building to the public network or other planned systems.
The installation design is prepared as part of the complete design documentation and coordinated with other disciplines, especially architectural, structural, electrical and mechanical designs.

For buildings where required, an internal and/or external hydrant network is designed in accordance with fire protection requirements, the building layout and the requirements of the competent public authorities.
Wastewater and Stormwater Drainage
The design covers sanitary wastewater and stormwater drainage, including sewer line routes, inspection chambers, connections, pipe slopes and the method of connection to the public system or another planned solution.
